Changes to Transportation Program beginning January 1, 2012

The Albany County Department for Aging is pleased to announce that starting January 1, 2012 CDTA ACCESS Transportation will be arranging all transportation services for The Albany County Department for Aging Senior Transportation Program. Through our arrangement with CDTA ACCESS, we will now be able to offer a variety of transportation options for seniors age 60+ that live in Albany County. Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Program Changes

Starting in 2012, enrollment in a Medicare Part D plan will be mandatory and EPIC members will be responsible for their Part D deductible and co-payments until they reach the Medicare coverage gap. Once members enter the coverage gap, EPIC will provide supplemental coverage to lower out-of-pocket expenses. CLICK HERE for more information about the changes and ways to afford medications
