NOTICE TO BIDDERS, July 2, 2010: The Audit and Finance Committee of the Albany County Legislature has approved the bids listed on this spreadsheet [PDF*]. These bids will now go to the full legislature for a vote on July 12, 2010. If approved there, bidders will be contacted in late July to set up closing dates and submit required funds. Deposits will not be taken on these parcels, anticipating closings in July-August for full amount due. Any questions regarding these bids should be forwarded to auctioninfo@albanycounty.com.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS, June 28, 2010: Due to the low number of submitted RFB Forms for Parcels 300-399 no deposits will be required on the Designated Sensitive Parcels for the May 2010 Real Property Auction listing. The County Audit and Finance Committee Agenda can be found here if needed.

Resolution 240 of 2010 has authorized sale of Parcel #33/333, 313 Hudson Avenue to the former owner. The submitted RFB forms will be returned to bidders this week.

Parcel #324, 276 First Street is under review and will be forwarded to the Legislature for review and approval in July 2010. No deposits will be required for that parcel.

Deposits must be submitted on parcels in the 1-199 and 200-299 sections, as instructed in letters mailed last week.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS, June 22, 2010: Deposits are due FRIDAY, JULY 9, 2010.

Letters to the verified bidders on each parcel will be mailed next week with instructions for deposit. Deposits can be accepted in Finance at any time between now and July 9, 2010. Bids will be submitted to the Legislature in July for review and approval.

Bidders will be required to sign the bid contract and submit a Resolution 80 Form with deposits. Deposits must be in certified funds–no personal checks, credit or debit cards can be accepted. Any bidder who does not respond to the deposit letter will be contacted by phone on July 2 or thereafter.

A listing of the top two VERIFIED bid amounts is AVAILABLE HERE [PDF*]

PLEASE NOTE: No bidder is considered approved until the County Legislature passes a resolution authorizing the auction sales, likely in August-September 2010.

Please contact Mr. Brian Weijola at (518) 447-3052 regarding deposit questions. Receipts will be issued, and contracts signed on each parcel bid. Deposits will be collected from both verified bidders. Deposits will be refunded to any bidder not authorized for closing by the County Legislature.

Any bidder not responding to the deposit letter by July 2 will be contacted by email and/or phone numbers provided with original bid. Please make sure you are checking the auction website for updates and announcements.

After initial review of bids received, the following parcels have no recorded bids. Anyone interested in acquiring these properties should contact the Division of Finance via email at auctioninfo@albanycounty.com. A process for recording bids will be set up in June-July where bidders remain interested in acquisition. No showings or bids will take place on these properties until that process has been set up.
