All the Words

When you select the "All the Words" option, your search will return only the content that includes ALL of the words that were entered in the search text field.

NOTE This works like an AND function. If you search "Albany County Budget," the search will return all of the content that has the words Albany AND County AND Budget in it.

Any of the Words

The "Any of the Words" option is almost the opposite. When you select the "any of the words" option, then click search, the search will return content that includes at least one of the words that were entered in the search text field.

NOTE This works like the OR function. If you search "Albany County Budget," the search will return all of the content that has the words Albany OR County OR Budget in it.

Exact Phrase

When you select the "Exact Phrase" option, the search will return only the content that contains the words you entered in the same order you entered them. A search for "Albany County Budget" will only return content that contains "Albany County Budget" and will not return content that only contains "County Budget" or "Albany Budget" and so forth.

Match Partial Words

The "Match Partial Words" option is similar to a wild card search. For example, entering "county" into the search text field, and selecting the "Match Partial Words" box will yield content with words that include found the letters "alb" in it. This search could find words such as county, County, accounts, and so forth.
